Using the CSP Lab preview
Answers about the demo, saving and what comes next.
- What is saved, and where?
- In the public demo, your sample lesson answers, lab trace position, notes, reflections and sample check answers are saved in this browser’s local storage only and are not sent to a teacher. If your browser blocks storage (for example in some private windows), the demo still works but will not be remembered. When you sign in and open an assignment from a class, your drafts and submissions are saved to your account so your teacher can review submitted work. Your account stores your name, email address and role.
- How do I clear my demo work?
- The sample lab has a “Clear lab work” control that asks for confirmation. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
- Is the demo teacher view real teaching access?
- No. The Student and Teacher switch in the demo only changes which demonstration screens you see and has no student records behind it. Real teaching access needs an account and approval by an administrator; approved teachers then manage classes and assignments from Classes.
- Does the lab run my code?
- Not yet. The lab’s interactive example traces one authored procedure, countAvailable, using ordinary application logic. It is not a general pseudocode interpreter, and Python execution is planned for a later stage.
- Is there an AI tutor?
- No. Hints in the lab are labelled “Written hint” because they were written in advance by the authors.
- Are the sample check scores meaningful?
- They are practice feedback on three questions. CSP Lab does not judge mastery or calculate or predict AP scores. Production assessments will be scored privately on the server.
- How will schools be set up?
- A school representative will request an organisation, educator.today will confirm it, and the representative will then invite and approve teachers. See Get started for each journey.
- Is CSP Lab connected to College Board?
- AP® and Advanced Placement® are registered trademarks of College Board. College Board was not involved in the production of, and does not endorse, Educator CSP Lab. Educator CSP Lab is an independent product of educator.today.
